Glyfada
Description
Glyfada is a Blue-Flag awarded seashore, known for its crystal clear turquoise waters and soft golden sand. The lush green background of pine- and olive-trees above the beach compose a majestic natural scenery.
Through the years, Glyfada evolved into a crowded, cosmopolitan Corfu beach destination, making it ideal for young adults and for partying purposes! But not only, it is also ideal and safe for families with young children, since waters are shallow and deepen slowly as you move away from the shore, making it a great place for swimming, sunbathing and playing with the sand.
Glyfada is a well-organized beach, including sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as several beach bars and restaurants. The beach is also popular for water sports such as jet skiing, parasailing, and paddleboarding.
Glyfada beach is located in the middle of Corfu on the west coast, about 16 km from port or airport, so a tour to Glyfada beach can easily be arranged from your hotel or Corfu cruise port, and be combined with other Corfu beaches like Paleokastritsa.
